Pre-production

I read the script or treatment with you, assess locations and plan the audio before the shoot: equipment, schedule, budget, and the broadcaster's or festival's delivery specs. An hour of planning saves days of fixes in post.

02:00:00:00Stage 2

On set

I record production sound with the edit and mix in mind: I edit and mix dialogue recorded by others every day, so I know what saves a scene and what ruins it. I work with a Zoom F6, a Sennheiser MKH 416 and Sennheiser wireless kits. On larger shoots or overlapping dates, I work with trusted sound recordists and follow the material through to the mix.

03:00:00:00Stage 3

Post-production

Dialogue editing: cleaning, rebuilding and matching location dialogue, with advanced restoration tools.
Sound design: ambiences, effects and sonic identity for fiction, documentary and animation, where sound starts from nothing.
Foley: footsteps, props and movement recorded to picture.
Mixing: stereo, 5.1 and Dolby Atmos, delivered to Sky, Rai and platform specifications (loudness, stems, international M&E).

Immersive

My studio is one of 40 in Italy certified for Dolby Atmos Home Entertainment. Outside the studio I design sound for space: installations and museums, where I also choose and lay out the speaker system, from 4.1 to 5.1.
